Sonora Dinner Napkins
Our line of boutique dinner napkins is digitally printed in Pennsylvania using water-based pigment inks on the highest quality linens. Each is then carefully stitched with a thick, cotton edging and packaged within the studio. Add a classic sophistication to any table setting by pairing them with our napkin rings and placemats.
Sonora originated as a hand-dyed fabric. Using the Japanese art of shibori, the fabric was folded and clamped before applying pigment. This technique is known as a resist and allows only the exposed areas to absorb color. Once washed and dried, the textile was scanned and digitally manipulated to create a deconstructed repeat. 'Sonora' refers to the shortened Spanish translation of "soundwave" - la onda sonora.
